With over 40 years’ involvement as a senior executive and business leader at the highest levels, Nabil brings a wealth of experience, leadership and insight to Faith Capital and its portfolio companies.
Nabil started his career in 1976 in the Investment Department of the Ministry of Finance, Kuwait and progressed after two years to the Controller of USA Investments which had under management a multi-billion dollar fund.
Nabil also held two Board positions with publicly traded Kuwaiti companies, namely Kuwait Investment Company and thereafter, Kuwait Real Estate Company.
Following these prominent roles, Nabil then spent 28 years as Director of Foreign Investments with Kuwait Commercial Real Estate Centre (Mubarak Al Hassawi & Company), one of the region’s largest property development and hospitality companies with worldwide assets and operations. In this role, Nabil spent many years managing the company’s international business affairs from London as Managing Director of Messila House Limited.
More recently, Nabil has acted as executive and non-executive director for his Group’s various businesses which include extensive interests in London as well as Kuwait London Company, a thriving and growing food and beverage enterprise. Nabil was also one of the principal investors in Talabat.com an e-commerce company acquired in 2010 and which sold in 2015 to Rocket Internet for a record price for the region.
With oversight of the investments of Faith Capital, Nabil brings almost unparalleled wisdom and judgement to Faith Capital and those companies in which it invests following his distinguished business career to date.
Mohammed is the Deputy Chairman & CEO of Faith Capital Holding, a Kuwait-based venture capital fund which focuses on young, e-commerce businesses, based in the GCC that have high growth potential for the future.
Faith Capital was created by Mohammed in order to harness his previous experience and success to promote and fund a new generation of Internet entrepreneurs in the region. Mohammed believes in a hands-on approach with Faith Capital's portfolio companies to create maximum value and to encourage these businesses to compete successfully on a regional and global stage.
Prior to Faith Capital, Mohammed was the CEO of Talabat.com an e-commerce business he acquired in 2010. Under his leadership, the firm moved from a Kuwaiti domestic player to a market leading business throughout the GCC. In 2015 Mohammed sold the business for US$170m to Rocket Internet, a German-based e-commerce giant and widely viewed as the largest Internet platform outside of the U.S. and China. This deal remains one of the largest Internet technology transaction to the date in the Arab world and Talabat and Mohammed Jaffar are recognised as pioneers and key innovators in the e-commerce space in the GCC.
Mohammed also previously held the position of deputy chairman of Danah Al Safat Foodstuff Company, a Kuwaiti listed company holding a prominent position as one of the leading companies in its field and was a board member of Al Safat Dhiafa Company.
Mohammed is currently a board member of Kuwait National Fund for SME’s Development, Injaz-Kuwait, Azzad Trading Group Company, Nexgen Group Company, and is an executive committee member of Noon.com.
Prior to Talabat, having spent four years in the Corporate Banking Division of Gulf Bank in Kuwait, Mohammed embarked upon his entrepreneurial endeavours by establishing his own business in the F&B industry in 2008. The business continues to flourish under his family's F&B portfolio.
Mohammed completed his education in England and graduated with a BSc in Economics from the University of Surrey.
Abdulaziz Al Loughani
Abdulaziz is Managing Partner at Faith Capital.
Previously, Abdulaziz was the founding Vice Chairman (Executive) of the Kuwait National Fund for SMEs Development, a USD7bn independent public institution responsible for developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Kuwait (2013-2017).
Prior to this role, he was a co-founder and Managing Partner of Talabat.com until 2010, and has since then been investing in technology startups and involved in a number of local and regional entrepreneurial initiatives.
Previously, he was a Director at Global Capital Management, the alternative investments arm of Global Investment House “Global” and was responsible for establishing a Venture Capital practice at Global. He has played a major role in managing key investments within the Private Equity Group of Global by handling various assignments on corporate restructuring, business planning, deal structuring, due diligence and managing portfolio companies to exit. Abdulaziz has served as an executive and member of board on a number of companies within the MENA region in the technology, banking, healthcare, manufacturing, consumer finance, food & beverage and real estate sectors.
Abdulaziz holds a Bachelor's degree - double major in Information Systems and E-Commerce from University of Toledo, and an MBA degree from London Business School.
Del is Chief Legal Counsel of Faith Capital.
Del is an English Solicitor who has practised commercial and business law for over twenty seven years.
Del's career started at DLA Piper in the City of London before he took Partnership with London corporate law firm, Speechly Bircham.
Following ten years in the City, Del gained four years of offshore experience as a lawyer in the Cayman Islands. Del then returned to London and joined an international property and hospitality group as in-house counsel which position he held for many years.
In his capacity as Chief Legal Counsel of Faith Capital, Del provides valuable legal advice and business support to the company and its portfolio businesses on all aspects of international commercial law. Del also has the great advantage of having represented a range of businesses over the years from start-up's through to publicly listed companies. In addition, Del is very familiar with doing business in the Middle East as he has dealt with legal matters in the region for over twenty years.
After achieving a an LLB in Business Law from the Metropolitan University London, Del qualified as a lawyer in 1990 and has been a member of the Law Society of England and Wales since that time.
Jamal Al Ansari
Jamal is Chief Public Relations Officer with Faith Capital Holding.
Before joining Faith Capital, Jamal held the same position with Talabat.com. Over a period of six years, Jamal assisted the company in its growth and success from a local Kuwait business in to a significant regional technology company.
Jamal was closely involved in the charitable activities of Talabat.com both in Kuwait and the G.C.C. and dealt with all the PR aspects of the business, importantly managing all relationships with Governmental departments and political bodies.
Prior to his time with Talabat.com, Jamal worked as sales manager in a successful travel company with particular emphasis on student and faculty travel activities. This followed a period of time in the marketing department of a major financial institution in Dubai.
Jamal graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Human Resource, from the Cambridge International College.
Alejandro is Chief Product Officer of Faith Capital Holding.
Prior to Faith Capital Holding, Alejandro oversaw the digital strategy and infrastructure for Al Babtain Group of companies. During his tenure, the digital presence for their most important brands were established, and quickly grew faster than any other competitive brand in the market. Working with leading global and regional digital channels Alejandro created unique activations to promote and increase brand awareness in Kuwait. Some of the best practices developed in Kuwait have now been adopted by other GCC markets.
Alejandro was also previously the Digital Director in Kuwait for BPG Group, providing digital strategies for leading companies and brands in the areas of banking, retail and automotive.
In addition, Alejandro established the first fully-integrated digital marketing team in Kuwait, encompassing digital creative professionals, social media specialists, content developers, copywriters and account managers, for one of the major telecommunication companies in Kuwait.
Prior to moving to Kuwait, Alejandro established his career in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the United States, creating corporate brand solutions for a wide range of clients from Fortune 500 companies to SME’s.
Alejandro received his education in Canada, the United States and Spain, where he studied Industrial Engineering, Graphic Design and MBA respectively.
Mohammed is Chief Human Resources Officer of Faith Capital Holding.
Before joining Faith Capital, Mohammed gained significant expertise as the Area HR Manager with M.H Alshaya, one of the region’s largest retailing and retail franchising companies. As part of that business, Mohammed developed his skills over a period of eight years rising from trainee in 2006 to Area HR Manager in 2014.
During his time with M.H Alshaya, Mohammed participated in the significant growth of the business and worked closely on the HR requirements of several large scale projects, including the launch of ‘The Avenues’ shopping mall in Kuwait.
Mohammed also brings to Faith Capital’s HR department, a great deal of experience gained from his role as Regional HR Services Manager of Abyat, a successful G.C.C furnishing company. In that position, Mohammed was instrumental in implementing and managing the HR aspects of Abyat’s flagship Riyadh location.
Mohammed completed his education in Kuwait, graduating with an English Literature Degree from Kuwait University.
Rafik is Chief Operations Officer of Faith Capital Holding.
Rafik is responsible for setting up and building the operations of the portfolio companies of Faith Capital, targeting high levels of customer experience and operational excellence with which Rafik has extensive expertise.
Prior to Faith Capital, Rafik was leading the customer care & quality control department of Gulfnet Communications, one of the main information and communication technology (ICT) and ISP providers in Kuwait.
Rafik formerly held a senior managerial position with a world class telecommunications company in Canada with a proven achievement record in customer care operations and project delivery management. In the last 15 years, Rafik has developed significant expertise in customer experience process management and quality and performance improvement in business operations.
Rafik received his education in Algeria and graduated from the University of Algiers with a BSc in Economics.
